Age Limits & Pay Scale
Age Criteria: Candidates must be between 18 and 44 years of age as of 01/07/2026
. The maximum upper age limit is relaxed up to 49 years for SC/ST/BC/EWS candidates, and up to 54 years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) . Ex-servicemen are eligible for dedicated deductions based on their length of service . Pay Scale: Selected lecturers will be placed in the lucrative AP State Government Revised Pay Scale (2022) starting at Rs. 57,100 – 1,47,760

Examination Pattern & Selection Process
The written screening test will be managed entirely by the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) as a Computer Based Test (CBT)
Format: 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) mapped to the post-graduate syllabus of the concerned subject
. Duration: 180 minutes
. Marking Scheme: Each question carries 3 marks
. Negative marking is active: 1/3rd of the marks (1 mark) will be deducted for every wrong answer . Qualifying Thresholds: To be considered for merit lists, candidates must secure a minimum score of 30% (SC/ST/PwBD), 35% (BC), or 40% (General/EWS)
. Contractual Weightage: Eligible contractual faculty members currently working at state universities will receive a weightage of 0.5% of total marks per completed year of eligible service (up to a maximum of 10 years), provided they cross the primary qualifying cutoff independently
