Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) Hyderabad Region: Walk-in-Interviews for Contractual Teachers (2026-27)

The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), Regional Office, Hyderabad, has released Notification 01/2026-27 inviting applications for the engagement of teachers on a contract basis for the upcoming academic year. This recruitment drive is for various Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) and Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) positions across Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) in the Hyderabad Region.

Interview Schedule and Subjects

Walk-in-interviews will be held offline from May 5th to May 7th, 2026. Candidates must be present at the designated venue between 10:00 AM and 05:00 PM on their specified date.

05.05.2026	PGT (Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Mathematics) and TGT (Science, Mathematics).
06.05.2026	PGT (English, History, Geography, Economics, Commerce, Hindi), TGT (English, Hindi, Social Science), and Regional Languages.
07.05.2026	TGT (Art, Music, Computer Science), Librarian, Physical Education Teacher (Male/Female), and PGT (Computer Science/IT).

Venue Details

Interviews will be conducted at specific locations based on the state or UT where the JNV is located:

• JNV Ranga Reddy: For all JNVs in Telangana.

• NLI Guntur: For JNVs in Andhra Pradesh and Yanam (UT).

• RIE Mysore: For JNVs in South Karnataka.

• JNV Dharwad: For JNVs in North Karnataka.

• JNV Ernakulam: For JNVs in Kerala, UT Puducherry (except Yanam), and UT Lakshadweep.

Special Note for Regional Languages:

• Malayalam: Interviews held at JNV Ernakulam.

• Kannada: Held at JNV Dharwad and RIE Mysore.

• Telugu: Held at JNV Ranga Reddy and NLI Guntur.

• Tamil: Held at JNV Puducherry.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must verify their eligibility before attending the interview. The upper age limit for all positions is 50 years.

Post Graduate Teachers (PGT)

• Essential Qualification: A Master’s Degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject, along with a B.Ed. Degree.

• Alternative: An Integrated Post Graduate Course from an NCTE-recognized institution with at least 50% marks (including B.Ed. component).

• Proficiency: Ability to teach in both Hindi and English mediums.

Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT)

• Essential Qualification: A Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject/combination of subjects and in aggregate.

• Mandatory Certification: Must have qualified the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper-II conducted by CBSE.

• Education: A B.Ed. degree from an NCTE-recognized institution is required.

Essential Instructions for Candidates

1. Mode of Interview: Personal interaction will be conducted in physical mode only; no online interviews will be held.

2. Documents Required: Bring original documents plus one set of self-attested photocopies of all certificates (Degree, PG, B.Ed., Experience, NCC, etc.).

3. Identity Proof: Candidates must bring a Government-issued ID proof and its photocopy for verification.
